The Capitals will be kicking themselves having let the game slip against the Rajasthan Royals, and it won’t get any easier for them here as they come up against the defending champions in a repeat of last year’s final.
On paper the Capitals have an exceptional team, though the inclusion of both Chris Woakes and Lalit Yadav in the last match shortened their batting attack dramatically, and we’d expect at least one of them to be dropped for this clash.
The Mumbai Indians have the bowling attack to cut through the Capitals with ease, so they’ll certainly need to deepen their attack in order to cope.
Trent Boult has carried through his tremendous form from last year while Rahul Chahar has been imperative in their back-to-back wins.
Delhi Capitals To Win
There is very little to separate these two, and although it looks as though Mumbai have the personnel to bat longer judging by the starting lineups in their last outings, that’s not to say Delhi haven’t been a dangerous side.
Shikhar Dhawan is the current top scorer in the IPL, while Steve Smith, despite not having the best IPL record, is one of the most talented batsmen in world cricket so if they add an extra batsman to their team here, they have every chance of taking the spoils and they’re well priced to do so.
