With just a sole defeat to the form team in the IPL at the minute Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals are certainly one of the teams to beat.
They currently sit at the head of the table with six wins from their eight outings and against third-from-bottom Chennai Super Kings, they should be able to further increase their gap at the top.
CSK have been having a torrid time, as although they won last time out against Hyderabad, five defeats from their previous six matches isn’t the sort of form that is going to get them to the latter stages of the competition.
With them yet to break the 200 mark with the bat too, it isn’t surprising they that find themselves further down the pecking order, but these slowing pitches should start to see some much higher scores.
The Capitals have broken that 200 mark already and came close in another, and unsurprisingly they won both of those. With the likes of Shreyas Iyer and Shikhar Dhawan in the current vein of form they’re in as well as the best bowling attack in the league behind them, this should be theirs for the taking.

Our favourite angle for this encounter though comes in the sixes market. Delhi Capitals have hit seven more sixes than their opponents so far with 51, while the Super Kings have been heavily reliant on Shane Watson in that department.
The Aussie has nearly hit a third of their big hits and having to face by far the illusive bowler in the competition, Kagiso Rabada, it’ll be a tough afternoon for the struggling Super Kings.
