It’s been the joint-strongest start to a Premier League season for Crystal Palace as Roy Hodgson has matched Alan Pardew’s record of 16 points from their first 11 matches, though hosting the league leaders is going to be a real test of their credentials.
Amazingly, Jeffrey Schlupp’s equaliser in this fixture back in July was Palace’s first league goal against Spurs since January 2016, a goalless drought stretching over seven matches and they’ll be looking to build on that this time around.
It’s been a case of Jekyll and Hyde for Palace this season as they’ve now drawn blanks in three of their last five outings, though have still managed a huge nine goals in the other two matches.

While Palace are often a known ‘Unders’ side, ranking 19th last season in the league for match goals per game with only Sheffield United seeing fewer, that tends to go by the wayside when facing the bigger sides as their defence often crumbles under too much pressure.
Indeed, up against top six finishers the Eagles have lost nine of their last 11 matches going back to a victory over Man United last season, with seven of those defeats coming to nil while they also lost 4-0 to Chelsea this season to fit that trend and that looks to be good value again here.
Son Heung-Min To Score Anytime
Son Heung-Min and Harry Kane are fast approaching Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba’s record for total goals combined for in the Premier League, combining for 11 already this season and they remain the biggest threat for Spurs.
They exploited Arsenal in their usually fashion with Kane dropping deep and Son making a run in behind. The South Korean has four goals in his last four starts against Roy Hodgson’s men and when in this kind of form, it’s hard to bet against him adding to that tally.
While 63% of Palace’s matches under Hodgson have seen ‘Unders’ come in, against the bigger sides there’s a complete reversal, as up against top six finishers 63% of matches has seen ‘Overs’ land.
However, Spurs have proven the exception for the Eagles with five of the six meetings since the former England manager took the reigns seeing a maximum of two strikes, including all three home fixtures and that looks to be at an acceptable price too.
