Old foes Ronaldo and Neymar reunited at the Bernabéu in pick of the last 16 action

This week sees the resumption of the Champions League for the last-16 stage of the tournament. Chelsea and Manchester United are not in action until next week, but we still have three English sides playing this week. Here Genting Bet have all your European football betting odds needs covered.

One of the most highly anticipated games in this round is Real Madrid’s matchup against Paris Saint- Germain. PSG have scored three goals or more in five out of their last six games. Los Blancos, meanwhile, have netted 11 times in their last three games, so expect goals in this one. Over 4.5 goals at 12/5 looks a good bet for the game in Madrid. Two players that are key to their respective side’s attacking ability are Ronaldo and Neymar. The duo, who share a birthday, have been in fine goal scoring form of late. Neymar has scored twice in his last three matches, whilst Ronaldo bagged himself a hat-trick in the 5-2 win against Real Sociedad at the weekend.

Arguably the toughest draw for the three English sides playing this week has been handed to Tottenham, who face a Juventus side with strong European pedigree. Juventus possess an incredible record in Turin, having not even conceded a goal at home since the start of November last year. Juventus to win to nil looks very much worth a punt at 15/8. There is hope for Spurs, however, as Massimiliano Allegri is dealing with somewhat of an injury crisis at the moment. French midfielder Blaise Matuidi has been ruled out, joining Juan Cuadrado on the treatment table. Paulo Dybala and Benedikt Howedes are also fitness doubts ahead of the first leg.

Fresh off netting his 100th Premier League goal against Liverpool a fortnight ago, Harry Kane will be integral to Tottenham’s hopes of getting a positive result in Italy. It’s worth noting that the forward is just as efficient playing away as he is at home, with 52 of his first 100 Premier League goals coming on the road.

Another potentially tricky away leg sees Liverpool take on 2004 Champions Porto. Like Juventus, the Portuguese side possess a formidable home record, having won their last six home games. Mohamed Salad has scored five goals in his last four outings. Three of those five goals have been scored in the final 15 minutes, so backing Liverpool to win the second half at 6/4 looks good value.

Finally, in what is possibly the easiest game on paper, Manchester City take on FC Basel. The Swiss side fared well in the group stages, finishing with four wins out of six, conceding just five goals in the process. Basel have found success against English sides previously, having edged out Liverpool in the group stage of the 2014/15 season, finishing second behind Real Madrid. They also recorded famous back-to-back wins against Chelsea in the 2013/14 campaign. Pep Guardiola must guard against complacency in this tie.
