Recent Form
Celtic have conceded just once in four games under caretaker John Kennedy, against Rangers, as they've won both home games so far.
Aberdeen were beaten 1-0 and Falkirk were put to bed 3-0 in the Scottish Cup, though the margin of victory wasn't convincing over the Dons, who have struggled badly in the second half of this season as long-serving boss Derek McInnes has since been handed his marching orders.
The Hoops have also had a goalless stalemate away at Dundee Utd, who finished up in the bottom half at the cut off, as they're not exactly delivering markedly improved performances under new management so far.
Both Teams To Score (No)
Livingston have been one of the surprise packages this season and actually boast a strong recent record against Celtic, having drawn five of the last eight head to heads including each of the last two meetings, while they even managed to win one of the other games.
At least one team failed to score in five of those eight clashes, and with Celtic largely keeping things tight so far under Kennedy, that could be a profitable route here.
However, excluding an extra time win over Championship side Raith Rovers last time out, Livingston are now a very poor W1-D2-L5 since early February.
Three of those defeats did come by one-goal margins though, including a 1-0 loss to Rangers, so they should remain competitive.
-1 Goals Handicap Draw
They may only have won once in their last five on their travels, although that did include a point against Celtic themselves at the start of this run.
In fact, up against the Old Firm duo, Livingston have only lost by more than a single goal in one of eight encounters since February 2020, as a Rangers side that have been exceptional at Ibrox this term ran out 2-0 winners back in October. That almost encourages us to get behind them on the +1 Asian handicap, though Celtic to win by a one-goal margin appeals to a greater extent.
Indeed, although improved this term, Livingston have still lost eight of 12 winless matches with the Old Firm duo since the start of last season, while they've failed to register a goal in 12 of the last 16 meetings.
They've struggled for points over the last couple of months, and so Celtic should get the job done in the end on home turf.
