Recent Form

Derek McInnes is the Premiership’s longest serving manager having been in charge of Aberdeen since April 2013, and in recent years they’ve been the only side to consistently get anywhere near the Old Firm duo.

His team have finished 3rd, 2nd, 2nd, 2nd, 2nd and 4th in his six full seasons in charge, and despite currently occupying fourth in the current campaign, a downturn in results coupled with uninspiring football has heaped severe pressure on the 49-year-old.

Indeed, Aberdeen can’t buy a win at the moment as they’re just W1-D4-L4 in 2021 so far, now going five games without maximum points.

17 of the last 19 points they’ve picked up have been garnered against bottom-half teams, as the other two were collected when taking on fifth and sixth-placed Livingston and Dundee Utd respectively.

Under 2.5 Goals

Only a sinking Kilmarnock have picked up fewer points from their last eight league games than the Dons now. By contrast, Celtic’s improvement sees them placed second in the same table, with only Rangers ahead of them.

In fact, over the last six matches the Hoops are number one as they’ve won five of them, scoring 15 times in the process, as they look set to end the season strongly.

Dour football has seen Aberdeen fail to score in five appearances, while each of their past six have featured fewer than three goals.

A lack of output isn’t just a recent problem with 12 of their past 15 league appearances also going under that threshold, as only one game in this sequence saw more than three goals.

Celtic To Win To Nil

The Dons last registered a league victory over one of the Old Firm duo back in December 2018, against Rangers, as they’ve since lost 11 of 15 such encounters.

Across all competitions, Celtic are a fantastic W19-D2-L1 since May 2016 in the head-to-heads, including victory in nine of 11 unbeaten matches since the start of the 2018/19 campaign.

At least one team has failed to score in 11 of 15 clashes since 2017/18, with the Celtic win to nil landing on nine occasions, including when they last met in the Scottish Cup back in November, and that appears the probable outcome once again.

Odsonne Edouard To Score Anytime

One of the key reasons for Celtic’s recent uptick has been the return to form of star man Odsonne Edouard, with the French striker widely regarded as the most talented player in the league.

He’s now scored eight times in six games, netting at least once in each appearance, including a brace at St. Johnstone last time out.

Celtic To Win To Nil At 6/5

0.5pts: Under 2.5 Goals At 4/5

0.5pts: Odsonne Edouard Anytime To Score Anytime At 19/20
