LIVERPOOL, WOLVES AND CHELSEA ALL TO WIN AT 7/1 HERE!
Recent Form
Celtic fans would’ve been celebrating long after their game on Thursday night as their side came from behind to beat Lazio.
An equaliser from Star man Ryan Christie and a late winner from Christopher Jullien was enough to seal it, while they took that momentum to Aberdeen at the weekend, running out 4-0 winners in a game that never looked in doubt after Odsonne Edouard’s brilliant opener after just 10 minutes.
That result now means Celtic have scored 12 goals in their last three games in all competitions, conceding just once across them even with Ryan Christie suspended for that visit to Aberdeen and their 6-0 demolition of Ross County at Celtic Park last time out, so we wouldn’t like to back against them putting a fair few on lowly St Mirren now that their playmaker is back in the fray.
Celtic -2 Handicap
The visitors have managed to keep it relatively tight at the back in recent times having not conceded more than twice in any of their last 24 league outings dating back to February.
What’s more, they have seen fewer than three strikes in 11 of their last 13 outings across all competitions, with nine seeing a maximum of one, so it’s no surprise to see them with the fewest goals in the division, while only the top three in Celtic, Rangers and Kilmarnock have conceded fewer.
That said, they have lost all five league games on their travels this season, while they lost their two such fixtures against Celtic and Rangers by four goals to nil last season, so we’re inclined to go with the Hoops on the handicap, but will have a flutter on the more reserved -2 Goals Handicap, giving Jim Gooswin’s men some respect for their defensive resolve this campaign.
James Forrest To Score Anytime
While it looks unlikely the visitors will register, considering they’ve only scored three in nine games when excluding bottom club St Johnstone, we’ll look to the goalscorer market for Neil Lennon’s men instead.
While there’s little value to be gained in many of the Celtic players, with five players odds on to score anytime, one does stand out lower down.
James Forrest has cemented his place on the right side of the three behind the striker, which is no mean feat considering the competition for wing places in their squad, and has reaped the rewards so far scoring in each of his last two league appearances, as well as two assists to go with it against Aberdeen and he looks well priced to find the net again.
James Forrest To Score Anytime At 6/5
