The Hoops’ straightforward 2-0 victory hosting St Mirren means they’ve now won each of their last seven home games under Neil Lennon, after an initial shaky start of two draws in his opening three at Celtic Park.
Motherwell currently occupy third place having won their last two fixtures, while they’ve also won three of their last four away, scoring eight times in the process, so this may not be as breezy for the Glaswegian outfit as some may have originally thought.
The last three head-to-heads have seen Celtic clean up with maximum points, an aggregate score of 12-3 and covering the -2 handicap in each.
However, the Well have come into their own more this campaign and, having won only six of nineteen away fixtures last term (32%), they’ve already won three from five this year (60%) and will be more confident of their chances heading into this one, so we’d like to avoid the -2 handicap to be covered for an unprecedented fourth consecutive time, while the -1 handicap offers very little value.

While it would be startling to see the visitors come away with all three points, something they’ve failed to do in their last 12 meetings with Celtic, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them register.
Lennon’s men have managed three clean sheets from their five home fixtures so far this season, and although their 6-0 schooling of Ross County was no mean feat, their other clean sheets have come against St Mirren, who prop up the table, and St Johnstone, who only sit two points off bottom.
Meanwhile, Stephen Robinson’s men have the best output in the division with the exception of the two runaway leaders, so they look well priced to get on the scoresheet, especially with their opposition having played an intense Europa League match over in Rome on Thursday.

When considering their recent busy schedule, an element of uncertainty arises around what team the hosts opt for this Sunday, but with the international break coming immediately after this clash we’re confident the manger will go all out and ask for a last big effort from his first team before they head their separate ways.
With that in mind, we like the look of Mohamed Elyounoussi to play a big part in this tie. The Southampton loanee is playing out of his skin so far scoring six goals in his last four domestic appearances in both the league and the cup, and he’s great value to find the net yet again on home soil this weekend.
