A comeback stoppage-time victory hosting Arsenal followed by a bore draw at the King Power Stadium has increased Brighton’s gap to the relegation zone and certainly eased some of the pressure.
However, their fixture list doesn’t get an easier with yet another of the top sides to play in Man Utd this gameweek.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men have drawn two of three unbeaten outings on their return to action, even if they did require extra time to eventually knock Norwich out of the FA Cup at the weekend, though they can count themselves unfortunate to not come away with more from their opening encounter at Spurs.
The only concern would be that they have come up short on multiple occasions on the road this term, going W4-D5-L6 from 15 league trips, while perhaps the most concerning factor is that four of those defeats came against sides currently sitting in the bottom seven of the table.
Graham Potter’s charges may only have three wins from their last 16 matches dating back to early December, but only five of those ended in defeat and they could well surprise a few people this Tuesday.
Indeed, they’ve drawn each of their four clashes with top-six sides during this this period, as all but one of those was also level at the break too.
Furthermore, they’ve beaten the likes of Spurs, Everton and Arsenal at the Amex this season now and so we believe they can take the game to Man Utd.

The head to heads may at first glance favour the visitors as they’ve won four of the six clashes across all tournaments since the Seagulls’ promotion to the top flight, but each of those victories came at Old Trafford, while their only two meetings here have gone the way of the hosts.
With more than two goals being seen in each of the three meetings since the start of last season the goalscoring market is even more of a prospect, especially with the Seagulls netting three in the most recent here.
Pascal Gross To Score Anytime
Interestingly, Pascal Gross scored in both those victories, while he also netted in another on the road in Manchester to take his tally to three goals from the last four meetings, as well as delivering an assist in the other trip.
He may have fallen out of favour in the starting line-up on the South coast, but at the current price available of 7/1 should he be in the starting team, we’d be more than happy to get behind that.
