Recent Form
Leicester have seen an explosion of goals in recent displays as four of their past five outings have seen no fewer than four strikes.
That includes their 4-2 win over Man Utd last weekend and a 4-3 triumph over Spartak Moscow on Wednesday, and there should be plenty of entertainment in this encounter as well.
Patson Daka will feel unfortunate to be left out of the line-up after netting against Man Utd and following it up with a four-goal haul midweek, but he may still find himself behind Kelechi Iheanacho and Jamie Vardy in the pecking order up front.
Youri Tielemans and Ayoze Perez are doubts for Leicester, as is wing-back Timothy Castagne, but it’s at the back where Brendan Rodgers has most cause for concern as his options remain somewhat slim with Wesley Fofana, James Justin and key defensive midfielder Wilfried Ndidi all ruled out.
The Foxes’ only clean sheet from their past 11 fixtures came in the League Cup against Championship outfit Millwall, as they conceded at least twice in seven of these games.
In top-flight matches alone, there’s been at least three goals in 10 of their past 12 since the start of May, with 14 across the past three of these appearances.
Away from home, both sides have scored in each of their last 11 trips, as a clean sheet appears nowhere in sight.
Over 2.5 Goals
Leicester will hope to build upon their back-to-back victories and will leapfrog Brentford in the table with a win here, though they’ve only emerged victorious in two of eight away matches in the league since the start of April.
They’ll take comfort from a 3-1 win away to Brentford in the FA Cup last season, while Thomas Frank has some injury concerns of his own.
The Bees look short in midfield with Shandon Baptiste, Vitaly Janelt and Josh Dasilva remaining absent, along with winger Yoane Wissa and centre-back Mads Bech Sorensen.
However, they do have Kristoffer Ajer back in contention in defence, though the missing men do reduce the host’s options to change things from the bench.
Brentford’s last outing was a low-scoring affair as they went down 1-0 to Chelsea, but it was a game that threatened to deliver more goals with Edouard Mendy delivering a man of the match performance for the Blues.
Prior to that clash, they’d produced a thrilling 3-3 draw with Liverpool and downed West Ham 2-1, and it would be no surprise if this game was also laden with chances at both ends.
