Recent Form
Despite all the star names, these two played out a tense final in the Champions League last year and we could see more of the same here.
Both sides have a number of injury concerns ahead of this tie, with the biggest loss of all Bayern hitman Robert Lewandowski – though the Bavarian giants have won 15 of their last 18 where the Polish striker played no part going back to April 2017, drawing the other three.
Hansi Flick is also without winger Douglas Costa and midfielder Corentin Tolisso, though counterpart Mauricio Pochettino has a number of first-team regulars absent.
First choice left-back Juan Bernat has been sidelined since September and replacement Layvin Kurzawa looks unlikely to feature, while on the other flank Alessandro Florenzi returned from Italy duty with a positive coronavirus test.
The same is true for metronome Marco Verratti, while midfield partner Leandro Paredes is suspended and Danilo Pereira is also a doubt.

Bayern To Beat PSG
Bayern are deservedly favourites heading into this tie and are certainly enjoying the better campaign. They’re W14-D1-L1 in all competitions since mid-January, with the two occasions where they failed to win coming after returning from the Club World Cup.
They’ve won all seven fixtures since then, scoring 23 times in the process, cementing their grip on yet another Bundesliga title as they sit seven points clear at the top.
PSG aren’t having it all their own way domestically this term and went down 1-0 to new Ligue 1 leaders Lille at the weekend, as Neymar and Lille’s Tiago Djalo both saw red in the closing moments.
They’ve managed just two wins from their past five outings now, registering just one clean sheet across these games, though can boast seven straight victories on their travels including an impressive 4-1 win over Barcelona.
Of course, the Catalans are a team in transition and it’s hard to overlook Bayern’s European form, with the current champions winning 18 of 19 matches in this tournament since the start of last season.
Atletico Madrid are the sole side to claim a point off them over this period, during the group stages this term, but even that came when Hansi Flick opted to rest numerous star names with top spot already secured.
PSG have lost twice in this season’s Champions League so far, at home against Man Utd and away to RB Leipzig, and their lack of clean sheets recently suggest Bayern should cope without Lewandowski.
In fact, Bayern have only failed to score in one of 92 matches since losing 2-0 to Dortmund back in August 2019, while in the Champions League alone, PSG have mustered just two clean sheets in their last nine appearances.
