El Classico Recent Form

Barcelona have enjoyed supremacy in this fixture during recent times, going W19-D10-L9 across all tournaments since 2008/09 over 90 minutes.

They’ve won four of six unbeaten clashes over the past 24 months by an aggregate scoreline of 15-4, including a 5-1 demolition job in La Liga at the Nou Camp last term in the absence of Lionel Messi.

Barcelona To Win And Both Teams To Score

The two arrive neck and neck ahead of this edition of El Clasico, tied on points at the top of the league standings and with similar goal differences, as Barca’s attack has been unstoppable and Madrid have turned in some decent defensive displays after a shaky start.

However, although only miserly neighbours Atletico have conceded fewer goals this term, Los Blancos have registered just one clean sheet from their past six matches in all competitions.

That came against rock-bottom Espanyol, while the likes of Alaves and Club Brugge also found the net too.

Given both teams have scored in 25 of the past 30 head-to-heads, there’s unsurprisingly short odds to be had in that market.

Benzema To Score Anytime

Real have only lost twice this season and though it’s notable that both came on the road, at PSG and Mallorca, the best team they’ve beaten on their travels was Sevilla back in September, as they’ve also drawn with the likes of Atletico and Valencia.

That latest result was achieved courtesy of a 95th-minute rescue act from Karim Benzema, and up against a defence that isn’t exactly watertight, we fancy the Frenchman to deliver once more.

Benzema has been a selfless player for Real and has spent most of his time in Spain playing a subordinate role to Cristiano Ronaldo.

However, since the Portuguese superstar departed for Turin, he’s become the teams’ main focal point as the other member of the famed BBC, Gareth Bale, has seen his influence reduced.

Benzema now has 12 goals from 15 La Liga appearances this term and 22 in 25 dating back into March and should be Madrid’s most potent weapon going forwards.

To help his cause, Barca have registered just two clean sheets in 11 matches across all competitions, coming in a 1-0 success over low-scoring Atletico and a goalless stalemate hosting Slavia Prague in Europe.

However, their attack more often than not bails them out and they’ve won despite conceding in five of their last seven matches, including clashes with top sides Dortmund and Inter.

In fact, the home win and both teams to score has landed in eight of 10 games at the Nou Camp this season, as well as each of the Catalan’s last five victories over Real at this venue. Moreover, in La Liga alone, Barcelona have scored a whopping 30 times in just seven outings on home soil (4.28 goals per game).

Suarez To Score Anytime

This match was postponed from its original berth in the calendar back in October owing to political tensions surrounding the Catalonian separatist movement, and will no doubt be played in a febrile atmosphere.

Luis Suarez thrives on such antagonism and with a stunning record against Los Blancos, also looks worth getting behind at a much more favourable price than teammate Messi.

He bagged five goals against them last term alone, including a hat-trick in this exact fixture, while he has 11 in 14 appearances against them for Barcelona in total.

0.5pts: Karim Benzema To Score Anytime At 6/5

0.5pts: Luis Suarez Anytime To Score Anytime At 7/5

Barcelona To Win And Both Teams To Score At 7/4
