It was a bitterly disappointing evening for Arsenal fans on Monday night as Sheffield United grinded out a 1-0 result against them. In fact, that includes 10 victories by more than a single goal as the rotation doesn’t seem to affect the flow of their game, with the likes of Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka and Joe Willock wreaking havoc on the opposition.
The three of them have plundered five of the total seven goals in this competition so far, with the Brazilian youngster Martinelli the most impressive as he’s netted four goals and an assist from his two starts in all competitions this season.
However, he looks a little short in the market at odds-on to net again and so we’d rather avoid the goalscoring market given the uncertainty of the starting team.
Arsenal To Win To Nil
One factor that we can be sure of though is the Gunners’ ability to score goals as a whole. They’ve now won five of their six unbeaten outings here in all competitions this term and averaging 2.83 goals per game over those six, but perhaps more surprisingly is their ability to shut their opposition out.
Indeed, they haven’t conceded for 300 minutes now in front of their home fans and with the likes of Hector Bellerin, Kieran Tierney and Rob Holding returning to the fray to bolster the defence, we’ll also have a punt on them keeping another clean sheet.
Both Frankfurt and Standard Liege failed to score against them in their two openers in this group, while they’ve conceded just one Europa League goal here from their last seven outings, as the likes of Napoli, Sporting and Rennes couldn’t register.
