The Gunners most recent fixture was against Brentford, a match they had to make amends from the first game of the season when Arsenal lost by a narrow 1-0 scoreline.
Despite a dominant first-half performance where Arsenal managed 16 shots without a goal, which was the most in the Premier League since Chelsea weren’t able to score with 17 shots against Brighton in 2019.
This will be the second match that Arsenal have played against Wolves in the last 14 days, the previous game ended “1-0 to the Arsenal”.
Wolves have been on a good run of form lately, winning six out of their last eight with a loss against Arsenal (1-0) and a draw with Chelsea (0-0) to break up the wins.
After a shaky start to the season, where they lost four out of the first five games of the season, Bruno Lage has found his stride and it is likely that we will see his team in some form of European football next year if they can carry on performing the way they are now.
Arsenal To Win By One Goal
The Wanderers’ 2-0 win over Tottenham was only the third time this season that Wolves hadn’t won or lost by a 1-0 scoreline against Top 10 opponents (9/12 games).
The other matches that don’t go with this trend were a 0-0 draw with Chelsea and a 3-1 win over Southampton.
It has to be said that Wolves aren’t the most thrilling team to watch this year because of the repetitive nature of this scoreline but also because they play a very passive style of football which just isn’t very entertaining but it has proven to be extremely effective.
Wolves have scored the third least amount of goals this season with 24 and are joint second on the GA table with Chelsea on 18.
Arsenal To Win 1-0
Arsenal to win by a 1-0 scoreline seems like good value, it was the bet we had for the previous fixture between the two teams and it came off, it is currently being priced at just over 6 and considering the occurrence of the result when Wolves play top 10 teams.
The Wanderers tend to concede less in away games (0.67/game) than they do in home games (0.83/per game) however, this could be due to the fact that they have only played two games against the top six on the road this year.
