The rest has been a bit longer for these two than most considering neither made the fifth round for the FA cup, though with Leeds playing on Monday night the Gunners have had a couple more days rest.

Having looked like they’d turned a corner, Mikel Arteta’s men have been brought right back down and once again sit in the bottom half of the table after two defeats in three winless games.

Output seems to be far too inconsistent at the moment for the London side as although they’ve managed seven goals in as many games across all competitions, they’ve drawn a blank in over half of those, so it’s difficult to know which Arsenal attacking force is going to show up.

It’s usually Leeds that are spoken about with regard to inconsistency, though their 2-0 win over Crystal Palace was as comfortable a display as you’ll see all season and was a victory that saw them jump above the Gunners in the table.

They’ve now won three of their last four matches, and even in defeat to Everton may have considered themselves unlucky to have come away empty handed having had 16 shots in a game they largely dominated.

Raphinha To Score Anytime

The visitors certainly have the momentum heading into this game, so we’re surprised to see Arsenal at odds on here.

The attacking threat that Leeds pose is far greater than their hosts’ at this point in time, with the front trio of Patrick Bamford, Jack Harrison and Raphinha getting seven of their eight goals over the last four games, with each getting at least two so at the prices it’s the Brazilian who looks worth getting behind.

Bernd Leno will likely return in goal for Matt Ryan having served his one game suspension against Aston Villa at the weekend, though if Leeds play to their capabilities, we certainly don’t think that would make a huge difference to the end result.

Leeds To Beat Arsenal

The Whites have a W7-D1-L3 record against current bottom half teams this season with the draw coming in the reverse fixture at Eland Road, while Arsenal’s struggles this year have largely come against the middle-third, against whom they have a poor W1-D3-L6 record this year and are currently winless in four such games at the Emirates so we can’t help but take them on at that price.

There are some big games in the coming weeks for Mikel Arteta’s men who have to play Man City, Leicester, and Benfica (twice) before the end of the month, and we’d expect them to have one eye on that Thursday clash with Benfica considering the Europa League is the only trophy they can compete for this year, so another away win to continue the anomalous season we’re enduring looks great value.

Leeds To Beat Arsenal At 16/5

Raphinha To Score Anytime At 4/1
