Unai Emery’s job prospects at Arsenal are looking pretty bleak. Many a commentator are currently predicting his downfall, and it’s not hard to see why when the Spaniard hasn’t overseen any discernible improvement of Arsenal during his time at the helm and still doesn’t appear to know what his best team is yet.

Frankfurt have now lost three on the trot, including a damaging defeat in Belgium to group rivals Standard Liege, who are level with them on six points in Group F as they bid to progress to the knockouts.
In fact, the German outfit have lost six of nine road trips since late August, with the exceptions coming against promoted outfit Union Berlin, 2. Bundesliga side St. Pauli and group whipping boys Vitoria Guimaraes.
Although they’ve suffered a string of bad results on their travels, the biggest margin of defeat Frankfurt had to endure over this period came as they went down 4-2 to league leaders Gladbach. Each of the other five losses came by 1-0 or 2-1 scorelines, and the one-goal margin of defeat looks worthwhile backing at the prices.

Despite Arsenal’s poor form, they remain a tough side to overcome at the Emirates, losing just once there in 21 matches dating back into January (W15-D5-L1).
Moreover, they’ve won eight of nine unbeaten matches on home turf in this competition since Emery took the job, keeping six clean sheets and leading at both half-time and full-time on seven occasions.
Arsenal deservedly start as favourites then, but it’s hard to see them running away with the scoreline in this encounter on current form.
Four of their six wins at the Emirates this season have come by a single strike, and even though they won the reverse fixture 3-0, fortune flattered them that day.
They went one goal to the good via a deflected shot not long before half time, while their final two goals came in the 85th and 87th minutes of the match after Frankfurt had gone down to 10 men.
