Recent Form
Stefano Pioli’s initial appointment at Milan raised some eyebrows but his side have been chugging along nicely for quite some time now, having returned from the coronavirus-enforced break to end last season in scintillating fashion.
The Rossoneri have now won 20 of 27 unbeaten league games since June, scoring at least twice in all but one of these games as the output hasn’t even dried up with veteran Zlatan Ibrahimovic sidelined.
Milan’s matches have been full of goals and across this unbeaten spell, 21 of 27 featured at least three, as 13 contained a minimum of four strikes.
Both teams have scored in 10 of their last 12, including five of the past six, so there’s definitely potential for a cracker in this title race.
After a 3-0 defeat to Fiorentina, Juventus got back on track with a 4-1 success over Udinese last time out, though they remain a full 10 points adrift of leaders Milan down in fifth place, albeit with a game in hand.
Milan Draw No Bet
The Old Lady are enduring a difficult first season under Andrea Pirlo and clean sheets have been hard to come by, with just three from 14 appearances so far and only one in the past seven, as both teams have scored in 10 of the last 13.
Juventus have fared better in Europe this term, most notably winning 3-0 away at Barcelona as they became the first team since November 2016 to beat the Catalans in the group stages, and the first in 39 visitors to the Nou Camp to walk away with maximum points since 2013/14.
Meanwhile, Milan suffered their one and only defeat this season in the Europa League, though still topped their group regardless.
Stefano Pioli will be glad to have defender Simon Kjaer back from injury as his side have managed five clean sheets from the 10 league games he’s played, and none from the other five games.
However, midfield options have been reduced after Sandro Tonali was sent off after just 33 minutes in the win over Benevento last time out, as he joins the injured Ismael Bennacer on the sidelines.
Draw And Both Teams To Score
Juventus have a clean bill of health beyond Alvaro Morata, but Milan deserve their position at the head of the table and should be backed to avoid defeat at the San Siro.
Goals are a strong possibility at both ends of the pitch however and the score draw may pay out. Three of Milan’s past five at home have ended that way, as have four of Juventus’ seven road trips this season. In fact, across all venues, each of Juve’s five encounters with current top-half teams this season have all seen that bet land.
